Labs

Laboratories aim to create opportunities to provide students with hands-on experience of laboratory experiments, which could bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and their application in everyday life. Our Science labs not only give students hands-on experience and deepen their understanding of scientific concepts but also promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity. Students can access to Science laboratory equipment to build a strong foundation in Science.

We have an updated Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Computer Science laboratories which will prepare students to learn 21st - century skills through practical methods. The practicals enable students to connect to other Science areas, communicate the information effectively, and argue their conclusions logically. Students can learn these skills if they can participate in various laboratory exercises.

The lab is quite spacious and very well ventilated to ensure proper availability of light in it. Each of the laboratories can accommodate 32 students conducting experiments in groups of two depending on the experiment at hand.

Physics Laboratory

Our state-of-the-art Physics laboratory is equipped with modern equipments to help the students learn the concepts of Physics with experiments. It is designed to give practice of taking measurements, analyzing data and drawing inferences while the students perform experiment.

Chemistry Laboratory

Our Chemistry lab is well equipped with chemicals and other apparatus to cater to the needs of all the students up to class 12. Students start using the Chemistry lab from class 6 onwards. They show great enthusiasm in using chemicals and perform hands on experiments. It is also supported by a virtual lab which is used to conduct experiments on the board and observe the reactions. The virtual lab also provides animations of chemical reactions at the molecular level. The lab has an excellent safety system with fire extinguishers and a shower cum eye washer equipment.

Biology Laboratory

Our school boasts of a highly equipped and well-stocked Biology laboratory. The laboratory provides the students with all sorts of facilities, ranging from specimens to models. The laboratory is quite spacious and is creatively decorated by the students. We have permanent anatomical slides of plants. The lab consists of simple and compound microscopes for the students to focus and study slides. The ratio of these microscopes per student is fairly high. We have measuring devices, like analytical balance. Also the laboratory has a variety of apparatus for physiological and ecological experiments. We have fire extinguishers in case of an emergency. Through experiments, students are able to gain first-hand knowledge and appreciate various concepts of Biology.

Math Laboratory

A well-equipped Mathematics laboratory motivates the students and creates an environment to learn Mathematics by doing. At VIPS Math Lab equips the 21st century learners with activity based learning and creates a challenging atmosphere for students to acquire their Mathematical skills. A variety of modern and colourful apparatus help in making teaching and learning of the subject interactive, fun filled and joyful. Learning of Mathematical concepts through concrete materials, hands-on-experiences and real life situations help to enhance analytical and critical thinking of the learners. At VIPS we bring technology in use to teach the abstract concepts of Mathematics and students enjoy the integration of Mathematics with technology using various Mathematical Applications.

Computer Laboratory

A well-equipped computer lab is the nerve centre of computer education in the school to keep pace with the fast changing IT scenario. There are two Computer Laboratories in the school with advanced infrastructure in terms of hardware and software to cater to the requirements of the students, teachers and the curriculum. They are exclusive and equipped with computers and accessories in tune with the latest technologies where computer education is provided to all the students.

Robotics Laboratory

Robotics curriculum at VIPS is offered from classes III to VIII. This course introduces students to the basics of modeling, designing, planning, and control of robotic systems. They gain exposure to the systems of sensors, control systems, manipulators, power supplies and software that work together to perform a task. The child is tested in the acquired skills for creativity, problem solving and teamwork.
